ENSEMBLES
The DYS is comprised of two orchestras and a flute choir. The Symphony Orchestra meets from 7:30-9:00 pm on Mondays throughout the season.
The Symphony Orchestra is comprised of advanced musicians. In addition to a challenging repertoire, our young musicians are further enriched by master classes directed by guest clinicians. The Symphony Orchestra meets from 7:30-9:00 pm on Mondays throughout the season.

The Dearborn Youth Symphony Orchestra
The Concert Orchestra's intermediate musicians are able to read music proficiently and have sufficient musical ability to play standard orchestral arrangements. These developing musicians are challenged while experiencing the satisfaction of performing as part of a community youth orchestra. The Concert Orchestra meets on Mondays from 5:30-7:00pm. The Flute Choirs consists of advanced and intermediate ensembles. The Advanced Flute Choir meets on Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm, and the Intermediate Flute Choir meets from 7:00-8:00pm. Advanced members are commonly also members of the Symphony Orchestra.

Our musicians rehearse and perform at the state-of-the-art The Ford Community and Performing Arts Center (FCPAC). This new, state-of-the-art performance theater truly enhances the experience of the DYS musicians. With a world class performance venue and newly expanded 101+ musician membership, the Dearborn Youth Symphony is poised for even greater success in the future!
