REHEARSALS
 
Our musicians are expected to be present at, on time to, and remain for
the entire duration of all rehearsals, including dress rehearsals, and concerts.  Leaving the rehearsal early is disturbing to the conductor and other musicians.  It is vital that every musician is seated, tuned, and ready to begin rehearsal on time.  One hundred percent attendance and participation is important for the orchestra as a whole in order to have complete and worthwhile rehearsals. In order to meet the demands of the music and achieve the artistic level that we all want for the DYS, it is necessary to enforce these procedures.  A complete list of guidelines regarding rehearsals may be found on the MEMBER REQUIREMENTS page of our website.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

The DYS Rehearses each Monday evening.  All scheduled rehearsals are listed on our online CALENDAR.  Rehearsal times are as follows:

Symphony Orchestra:  7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Concert Strings:  5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Advanced Flute Choir:  6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Intermediate Flute Choir:  7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

REHEARSAL PREPARATION

Students should arrive no later than 15 minutes before rehearsal to warm up and be prepared to play.  Students are expected to bring the following to rehearsal:  Instrument (& bow if applicable), folder & sheet music and a pencil.

REHEARSAL LOCATION

Our musicians perform and rehearse in the state-of-the-art Ford Community & Performing Arts Center located at 15801 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, Michigan.
